Food was good, ambience and customer service was excellent. I visited with my mother so we couldn’t order the conchinillo. But we ordered the conchi molo soup and it was perfect for the gloomy day. We also loved the nilatik na hito but the chorizo paella could do with a bit more chorizo. Overall great experience. Well recommended

Tried this Michelin Bib Gourmand Restaurant today and the experience had its share of ups and downs. Ambiance - 10/10 Love the place. It's small but very cozy. Most tables were reserved. We reserved a table 2 days ahead, so be sure to make a reservation. Love the personal touch of having your name on the reservation card and then a small message from the owner. Service - 10/10 . Everyone was so attentive. Service was fast, and the staff always checked in on you. Food - 8/10 Here is a breakdown of what we ordered: Kare-Kare - I'm a sucker for good Kare-Kare. The meat and tripe were tender. The sauce not overtly sweet, love the smokiness of the dish. This was a chunky Kare-Kare, so if you like a smooth Kare-Kare, this is not it. It was good, but tbh, I've had better ones. Dumaguete Express - Highly recommend you to order this one! It's Bicol Express, but make it seafood! It's on the salty side though, so you really need rice as a vehicle for a balanced bite. Cochi Spring Rolls - Also a yummy dish! The cochinillo filling was so flavorful. It was an awesome filipino take on the vietnamese spring rolls. An issue I had though, was one of the rolls I ate was super salty. I swear I ate an extremely salty part. Like chewing on straight up salt. I don't know it's because of the seasoning on the cochinillo filling inside. Calamares / Crispy Fried Squid - To be Honest, Nothing Special. Not sure why this had a star on the menu because I really wouldn't recommend it. It was bland. You can have better Calamari elsewhere Fried Chicken - Was actually really good! It was simple, but made very well. Crispy and Juicy on the inside, not greasy and not overly coated too. It was also seasoned very well. I didn't understand the mushroom gravy that came with it though - the gravy was cold and clumpy, although the mushroom flavor was really there. In my opinion, the dish didn't really need it as an optional sauce. Iced Calamansi Soda - Loved this! It cleansed out palates and broke our taste buds from the saltiness of the food. It was tangy and fizzy, and that fruity calamansi flavor was very present. We didn't order Cochinillo because there was just the 2 of us - and we knew we wanted to try many dishes, so we opted not to. Overall, it was a great first experience! Will definitely be back - to bring more people so we can eat cochinillo and also to try their breakfast and cafe menus. Congratulations on the Bib Gourmand! *side note: When I made the reservation, I said that it was my husband's birthday and if they offer anything special. They said yes. But we never received like a cake slice or a song or anything, it was my mistake too, because I didn't follow up on it - and I didn't bother asking

All the servers really pay attention to their customers. If I could rate the service, it would be 100/10. The food is also good, but I find the serving sizes a little too small, especially the oysters. The Dumaguete seafood dish is a little bit salty for my liking. But what I like is the unique flavor of their vinegar (hint of sweetness and acidity).

What a memorable experience at Cochi! Food was super good and service (from Roz) was excellent! We had Celebration Feast good for 2 people. Food was plenty and could have easily fed 4 people. Everything was so good ... chizmozas, balbacua ala Marvin, mushroom salad and nilatik na French toast! We've had cochinillo in Spain and the cochinillo here was just as good, if not better. Would highly recommend this place!

Had an incredible experience at Cochi! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented — every dish was packed with flavor. The service was top-notch; the staff went above and beyond to make my mom’s birthday extra special. The Cochi leg-head was superb — tender, flavorful, and a definite must-try! Thank you for making the celebration truly memorable.

Absolutely loved the food! The menu was well thought out and brought the best of Filipino food, elevating traditional flavors and enhancing the dining experience. Our server, Roz, was attentive and friendly. Water glasses were filled automatically, and food quality was checked every step of the way to ensure everything is to our liking. We can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu! Truly worth the $$$

The food was good! We ordered the kare-kare, bulalo, sisig, and chorizo rice. Everything tasted great, except the bulalo was a bit on the salty side. The ube shake I ordered was also a little too sweet for my liking, but the rest of the dishes were really good. Our server, Mel, was excellent — very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of.
